1. Review of results/discussion sections: First let's have a look at your discussion sections. Can you identify all the parts? We'll also finish up the packet on results today.
2. Introduction to Lit reviews: First let's look at a sample from Diana Hacker's website.
Next, in groups, develop a set of criteria and steps for writing a literature review. Create a "tips sheet" in google docs that could be used as a guide. This website will help you get started.
Now that you have a better idea, spend some time revising this sample. Where should paragraph divisions fall? What is the author's purpose? Is it coherent? Use your tips sheet to help you make comments.
