Day 16 tasks:
Finish Literature review project
Revise a sample
1. Continue in your groups from Tuesday. Develop a set of criteria and steps for writing a literature review. Create a "tips sheet" in google docs that could be used as a guide. This website will help you get started. You will have a chance in class today to present your tips to the class (5 minute presentation).
2. Now that you have a better idea, spend some time revising a sample. First, reverse-engineer the sample by outlining it. For example:
1. Carroll, 1962: affective variables of students--do they predict success in FLL?
Findings:
a. Motivation--yes
b. aptitude--yes
c. IQ--no
Where should paragraph divisions fall? What is the author's purpose? Is it coherent? Use your tips sheet to help you make comments.
